Rahuganga Hydropower Limited, a subsidiary of the Nepal Electricity Authority, is developing the 40 MW Rahughat Hydroelectric Project in the Myagdi district. The main civil contractor, Jayprakash Associates, commenced the construction of a 195-meter vertical shaft and a 145-meter inclined pressure shaft (2.6 meters in diameter) on 2nd Magh 2079 (17th January 2023) and completed them on 1st Jestha 2081 (15th May 2024) through dedicated efforts. The Bavari Construction Pvt. Ltd. was involved in the excavation of both Vertical and Inclined Pressure Shaft and completed the work in the weakest possible geology within the stipulated time.
